Photography by Charun Stone
Charun is a northerner living in the rugged and beautiful land of the Yukon. A passion for nature and all it gives us inspires the imagery you see here. Browse through the portfolio, or take some time to read the blog, the hope is that you may find inspiration to explore and appreciate what the land has to offer, through what is offered here.
“The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried; You tread on the heels of the many, till you come where the ways divide; And one lies safe in the sunlight, and the other is dreary and wan,But you look aslant at the Lone Trail, and the Lone Trail lures you on.”

The heart of the North expressed
through imagery
The north offers so many different ways to see the beauty of the wild. From the animals roaming free on its rugged and diverse lands, to the most delicate of creatures and flowers found on the forest floors, to the vast skies full of magic and wonder, there is endless ways to experience the authenticity of nature. Here you will find these things showcased in the portfolio page.

The heart of the North explored
through words
Many a piece of prose has been inspired by peoples time here. Poetry, songs, and stories of old and new fill books and minds. From the historic time of the gold rush, to the current stampede of people travelling the world to see this land for themselves, where these words come from vary greatly. In my blog you will find meanderings of my experiences here, my thoughts, and very often notes on how I have come to capture the images I share.
